On friday, 20th, club meeting ahead of Sombor festival. Bukac, Dimče with wife and I are going. Mika Putnik was there, said they shoved two guys into the academy already, and in two years it would be my turn, including a stipend from the television in Novi. They are putting movie and TV production together, and they need people. The system is that you don't get employed, you're a free artist, annual contract, you do a couple of larger pieces or more smaller ones, the money is not bad at all. "And... how's Višnja"?
In the evening, long wait at school, she had classmaster's class, extra. Had time only to explain why I'm away on saturday.
And on saturday, school - home quick take a bus - lunch - off to Sombor. Very cold. Movies better than in Kula, well those were schools, these are clubs. The phenomenal "Mr. Čips, this is us", about education in general, with the excerpts from essays written by students of Teachers' school in Aleksinac, starting with "bila sam mlada i neukusna" (I was young and tasteless - instead of neiskusna, unexperienced). The text will become a legend, it's still circling the web. I wore the same cap as last year, heads were turning.
That's how I missed the first episode of „Theatre at home“.
On sunday morning visited the famous cakeshop of Rama (had its episode in the "obligationless" series on the Second this year). Before lunch a lecture on the kinoamateurship in Vojvodina, then a historic meeting of which I remember nothing.
Came home sunday afternoon. Pop arrived to take me to shoot someone's baby, then at club Dimče held a meeting (the gang comes next weekend), Branka came on time, went to disco, finally snuggled up in a tucked up place, warms the heart.
On tuesday I was less enchanted, though. We sat in kino bašta again, it's all fine and okay but somehow any other girl looks better. And four kilometer walk seems long now, somehow.
They made me the sherrif... that is, president of youth organization, again. Okay...
Thursday, 26th, went with Slavka to watch "Majstor i Margarita". A huge movie and a half. Found a place further down her street. Coats get in the way. Nice moonshine.
