The next day I wrote the ysc2852, which is a version of scantxt, where one translates manually, from one language to another. This one is automatic, as it translates from the juski (yuscii) codepage to 852. Most of it is making calls into scantxt, why keep the same code in two places. And this one also translates the data, which I needed mostly for postal codes, will come handy if/when we take over any customer of DBA (which did happen a few times in the following years, so this wasn't in vain).
