The story is mostly the same. Same people, same events, same places. Names may differ where I'd have to explain the pronounciation too often, or when I just forgot what I named something in one version and got inspired differently in the other. For instance, Zajač and Klincaid have very different names.
Then there are cases when I have to explain something in one language that everybody knows in the other - things like kajmak and zaprška. Some others, like yogurt or pašteta exist in both versions, but in different lengths - again, general knowledge in one language may need long explanation in the other. Things with no articles in serbian version include bostan, čučavac, emisija, gibanica, košava... (changed my mind about čučavac in 2023, it does need a text in serbian now)
Then there are cases when I have to explain a pun or slang reference or just a turn of a phrase in a footnote. Some of these, in english version, may end in „sorry about your language“.
When an article was written in serbian first, there may be words in brackets in the english version. These words were not present in the source sentence, but in translation had to be added for clarity. As gMalivuk, the moderator of language section on Xkcd's forum, said, „english language has all the tools it needs to avoid ambiguity“. True, „of course it has them, because it needs them! The point is that the speaker needs to recognize the need to use them, which [he] often does not.“
