So they decided to ride around Serbia a bit, by a bit strange route, sticking east, over Golubac, Milanovac, Bor... all over the left field. Crammed all seven of them into the saxo - Go, Stanley, Ender, Nina, Raja, Neša and Violet.
They made a bunch of interesting shots on the trip, and seems they had a good time. They ended up in Sokobanja, where they rented practically an apartment. Nicely accommodated, they even went for baths, said there was an indoor pool nearby. saxo ran fine, despite the load, got everywhere without a problem. The boys took shifts steering, and Nina was in charge of navigation.
I later asked Ender how did it feel, driving such a small car, after all the bigger and sportier ones he had. „Teaches you humility“.*
They returned on 30h.
On 1st, Ender and Nina went to Novi to visit a guy about a knife. Ender wanted to have a proper knife like the one he once had, but better. And amazingly, they found this guy on the web. Dunno where he gets the better steel, I think he forges them out of better suspensions or dull cutting tools, and then peens them and sharpens them until he achieves the quality. The distance to him being less than an hour's drive, they just went to him to pick up the knife, and then when it came down to paying, he didn't want money. He wanted a supplier for some things he couldn't procure legally, or it would cost a bundle of money and at least a weeks wait, plus an unknown number of hours on the phone. Don't remember what it was, perhaps something for light pistol ammunition (casings?). But they did reach a deal, and next year the one shipment was delivered.
Ender kept that knife at hand henceforth, at all times.
Also, found again and made a copy of this photo, because it vanished from the web, this Krstić guy removed his blog. I just had to have it and took care to never lose it.
At Firriver, Laura asked something about creating a html report. Took some time to explain to her that the easy automatic stuff that's in-built in the framework looks like shit and mostly is. I gave up on even trying and just asked for the query, to see how can I make it look half decent.
