The best known movable tavern in town. The fat cat (eponymous) is the fat lady Smilja from Banatska, where I thought she was the owner's wife but wasn't. She decided to go solo, and opened on her own in a small place near the brewery. We went there once when Violet was just a baby (25-X-2014.); I remember a waitress with very curly hair and the excellent czech Bernard dark beer (with those ceramic corks which I didn't see since Amsterdam 1976).
She got into dispute with the owner of the space, as he's a hardcore rocker and wouldn't have turbo folk (v. narodnjaci) in his house; she said she doesn't play it herslef, but if a private party rents the whole tavern for the evening, they also buy the right to play whatever music they want, and she isn't going to refuse guests. So she switched places very soon - within a few months - and went to Eva's. We visited there only once (with Nina and Violet) when we visited Oma while she was in Eva's nursing home in the back. And that place is smack in my old street, just 80m from dad's place, at the railroad crossing. I see her parking was mostly full, so business must be good.
June 2016, she moved to Kantina. Went there with dad to celebrate Neša's birthday in august, then in january with Go and hers, and then again to do a daća for dad.
Next time (2017-07-15) she was back at Eva's again, the Kantina was too big and seems to have cost more. What Eva's husband attempted to do in the meanwhile wasn't too popular so they all went back to the old arrangement.
Then she vanished for a while, i.e. had a brzožder (v. house dictionary) in Gimnazijska 2019/20, which sufficed to survive, and so she returned to Eva for the third time, but that also didn't last. By the end of the year the space became a chinese restaurant, we saw a chinese couple sitting there and gathering cobwebs.
