A regular guy from IV_5pp, not distinguished by anything much at the time. Mostly silent, speaks slowly.

Later, in the nineties, when we started meeting more frequently on those anniversaries, it turned out that he's quite an interesting guy, an educated peasant who still reads. Though it's mostly local history and religious stuff, still books are books and he surprises me every time with some detail I'd never expect to come from him.

Never married, lives alone for what I know. His village is somewhat south and away from main roads, but not really that far.
