Some time during the month, about two thirds of it (my memory isn't more precise than that) there was the big qualifier test for kviskoteka in Sava Centar. I don't remember whether I took the car or a bus, but I appeared there exactly as the instructions, published in Politika, said, right time and place. I have no clue about what the questions were, probably just remotely similar to what the quiz itself required. This was more about general literacy, logic and solid high school education. I lacked neither and I passed.
There were many of us, perhaps two hundred at least. We filled a big auditorium of a larger congress hall, possibly even the one where the main sessions of the big OECS summit were held seven years ago. The abbreviation is KEBS in serbian, and the building was then nicknamed "Kebs's pyramid".
The next round of testing would be in september (so this may have also been in august, or on a saturday in early september - there, I don't even remember the month).
Mom and dad have started, as of this spring, to turn our placić [ger. Platz - place, here it means building lot] into a vegetable garden. The street being not even a beaten path, the folks coming to build their houses would come by the preceding street and then across other lots, they used literally every meter, leaving just a place to park the škodilak. They grew everything - onions, lettuce, green peas. There was even one row of poppy inside the foundation, on the line between the place where I'm sitting at the moment, to the lavabo in the future bathroom.
