Had good snow this winter. The old škodilak was sold to some guy (whom we'll meet again, seventeen years later) who had a better majstor and who fixed it and squeezed many more years out of it. This probably happened some time in 1991, but the years being lean, I don't have any photos of the new second-hand Renault 4, called kafeni (coffee colored). This may be the only picture of it. I see the trailer is still there - this car had no hook, so having a trailer was pointless, and we probably sold it soon. And I remember that the inner shielding for the chimney I had transported in kafeni (and it was way overloaded that time, it nearly dragged its butt through the mud in the street), while the windows and doors went on the trailer, so the switch from škodilak to it should have been after 1991.
Also this month kafeni saved my butt returning from Rasad (40km north), its front wheel drive was perfect for the wavy pavement combined with thin layer of pressed snow and side wind. Whatever the road brought, this kid would bring back to straight.
On the picture, Nina is learning the finer points of shoveling.
sezam, 6th:
Children of workers in state organs in the city didn't have Grandpa Frost this new year (that's when they get packets, as gifts). The money for this was set aside, but it was all spent on 24th when the local SPS was celebrating its victory in electoral unit 3.
