Zvojko got an ace in russian. His mom is pissed off, and he's supposed to be grounded... and yet he goes out with Rencika and Dragana, pretending to buy records just to have them played in the shop. And they had a contest in whose skirt was shorter. Ah the years of minis everywhere.
At some point grandma sent me to the supermarket to buy milk, and there I met Tejka and Duca. Don't know how that happened, they have a shop right there in Lesnina, this one is three blocks away (from them, one from us) - perhaps they just went for a walk and have a smoke where nobody knows them. We talked a lot, so a ten minute hop lasted almost half an hour, and I almost forgot to buy the milk. Perhaps we'll meet in the movie tomorrow.
OK, this was confusing. Not those two, but the other two with same name and nickname, from the corner. So they told me how their doček was - seems to be they were much more daring than we were, E. was sitting in someone's lap, Kale was hitting on a girl from our side of the street (who wasn't in that company last year) and was literally lying over her... Well, they are a year older...
And the next day we indeed all met at the movie, in the same building where Kantina is (it's a whole block, also includes a library etc). I wrote down a whole page of various innuendos; even at some point the brief case of E. and me, now mostly forgotten, was revived just so one of the guys could mock her.
This month I visited the dentist frequently, I guess that's when I got the fillings in most of my upper rear teeth (4. - 7.). On 15th I was exchanging glances with some girl in the waiting room. Her mini was at least 15cm above the knees. She kept staring at me and I at her. Never saw her again. That's probably when I started noticing that exchange of looks, and even devised some tactic on how to do it, faking disinterest to arouse interest or something like that. Still sounds confusing.
This month the slovenian revue „Auto“, originally „Avto“ began publishing. Don't know whether the belgrade edition began right away, or a few months later, I reckon the former, because I remember that later, in april, on the fair I saw the footage of their testing of a Saab on snow and how I knew exactly what I was watching. The oldest archived article on the site (now in 2025) is a test of a beemer 1800, which I kind of remember, except the text - I was buying the translated edition - but then all those test looked the same, and that wasn't the only beemer they tested. By the end of the year I remember convincing dad to get me a subscription, so I wouldn't wait several days until the issue appeared in our kiosk by šećerana, so for the next two-three years it kept coming regularly, until I learned all that I wanted on the subject, and until I learned to recognize each model by backlights alone.
Years later, when I was a driver myself, I realized that I wasn't attracted by driving itself (though I live to drive, just not competitively), nor to earn bragging rights with my knowledge, it was more that wish to know how things work, and that spirit of a technical team which reigned among their staff. It was felt that they're having good fun at work yet do their jobs seriously, which I liked.. I guess even then I wished to be into something of the kind.
After Lyndon Johnsom, some Richard Nixon guy is american president. Jan Palach burned himself in Prague, died three days later. Three more days after one guy here also burned himself. Beatles play on the roof of their Apple records, last public concert, police disperse the audience. Yellow submarine published.
