The usual big august birthdays party in the forest.

Few of us came ahead, as last time, with a car carrying beer etc, perhaps around 18:00. The sundown is around 19:00 this time of year, so we had ample time to find a clear place where to build a fire, after gathering enough of dry branches to last us the night. Last time I even went to the police HQ to announce that we'll have a party there, so if anyone reports they'd know. I was told not to bother - if anyone reports, they have to check anyway, if nobody does, who cares.

Present, by pictures: Dženk, Šaki, Brata with his twin sister, Živa, Kid, Beštara (was it his fića there?), Ljuba with his wife (my dad drove them to and drove her back; he didn't feel too well so he left on his own, managed to find the place, even though it's on the opposite end of town); Vanji with his girlfriend (later wife), some guy from Subotica, Paja, Arpi with his mate from work, who was also from VIII₂ (small town, isn't it), Pali with his girlfriend (and/or his ex, who was also a sweet and sexy girl, later also graduated maths and worked as the IT person somewhere in wider kombinat), Eči, one more guy from IV₃, Mongol.

As usual, someone had someone in the brewery, so we got five crates of beer at cost, drank four - that someone had the fifth crate to himself, as compensation for the trouble of transporting them and returning the bottles and crates. I had my beer opener, souvenir from summer 1973, hanging on my belt. I think the guy paid this crate separately - his gain was that he got it at factory price, which was ridiculously below retail.

The night was wild, what can I say. I do remember a few highlights, but they are not publishable :). As usual, we split around sunrise. All the sausages were eaten, perhaps one loaf of bread and a few onions left. We peed on the fire (most of the guys did) so we left the place safe.
