Investigating the chance of making some money composing crosswords. With code, of course. This lasted probably a bit longer - on this day I found one of the websites which accepts guest constructors (and they saved the date for me, and Firefox saved my credentials, so I know the date). In the following days I tried out software, found a few freebies where I could, more or less, command how would it compose a 15x15 from the words I'd supply. I used my old generator of random text to sample the vocabulary from Dune (first two books only) and dragged a few rare words out of it. Another crossword was about Jethro Tull.
Didn't send anything anywhere. Two days later Sean swamped me with work and by september we started also having problems with each other.
The photo is from three days ago. The angle comes about right around the equinoxes. The floodlights on the sides were there for shooting, but they're halogen, heat up horribly, and the light is too yellow. Even with the camera's white point adjusted to exactly that color, it still doesn't come out right, so we rarely turn them on.
Teaching Nina to drive. She's doing fine, I even have the luxury to shoot around, thus documenting the area in ways that weren't exactly possible before, I was always at the steering wheel.
