Stana Čopanja

(Person, Yugoslavia)

A veterinary. Used to be a veterinarian inspector (... 5 words...), and her husband was also a vet. When they went for Canada (before 1988), first he went, with S. from the club, then she, and then they didn't really like it, so she returned after a few months. He stayed some fisix more, to accumulate some cash, not as a vet, though, they found out their diplomas aren't recognized there, he drove a truck. At least they kept their visa cards, which helped when I bought the atarist.

Then in the nineties she moved to be the manager of the local vet station, the old self-managed one. Then it was privatized and she mostly owned it.

For a while we were house friends, i.e. visited each other regularly, but then she made a few career moves and having friends living in an unfinished house at the end of town, surrounded with Gypsies, in an unpaved street, a bit crazy on top of it, just didn't fit with her new stature, so her invitations became half-hearted and ours unanswered.

Her vet station is at a good location; Avai even sold her an app... which I'm not sure ever worked properly, as it was written by Vanji's older son, who was rather inventive with it, but I'm not sure the girls there managed to get anything out of it.

She pulled the same trick several times - she'd start a business with a partner, then at some point pull out and take the partner to court (or just threatened to do so) to get paid out for her share. First it was a dairy production line, where it was actually her brother who was just a driver tere, and who screwed up a few times - botched the deliveries, didn't appear with the car to take the stuff, would keep part of the money etc - so the relationship between the partners soured. Then it was some vet pharmacy shop. Then even this vet station, where she went from manager to co-owner. Last I know (2021) is that she's opened a nursing home somewhere in the north end.

She was squat, not particularly wide, never obese, just gave such impression, being generally of that stature. There were curves, there was drumstick, not absent at all, but somehow I never managed to see a chick in her, she was always business. Nose, nixonian.
