Perhaps this all happened one day before or after, because I think someone would have made a friday 13th joke.
During the lunch, there was a big storm. Sun was shining through thick rain. As we already were in our beach clothes, and it wasn't any colder than usual, we just decided to wade through the rain to our room, where we'd just wait it out. Summer cloudbursts don't really last. I was later remembered singing "singing in the rain" and splashing with my big #45 mould beach slippers, to the amusement of the whole family.
Which I decided I'll never do again, because it brought bad luck. My cot was gone. I went to the reception when the rain stopped, which was not as soon as we hoped it would be, and by that time it was already dark and the electricity vanished while I was there trying to find someone to yell at. Found one, and she heard me, and the cot was returned the next day and then vanished again. I gave up. The floor isn't that hard.
Lena was mentioning something that sounded like a name, eyena or whatever, albeit one we never heard in exactly that set of sounds, and which could mean she's acquiring an imaginary friend, or inventing a word, or... at some point I just thought I'd simply ask her who was that. She said Nina. Well, it did sound like her name, on second thought.
