30-XI-2007.: Air day

There's always money to fuel these guys. We fucked ourselves well with the house location - when we checked the flyover maps for the navy base, the house seemed to be at the outer corner of the semicircle beyond the airstrip's end, which meant they'd fly over our heads only when they totally screw up the u-turn, worst case. But that was the old F117, allegedly invisible one. Now they have new ones, heavier and clumsier, and the semicircle is larger. When they take off, it's impossible to talk for about 40 seconds, the whole house roars and thunders, then 20 seconds break until the next one. They regularly take off in fours.

The chemtrail department was working overtime all afternoon. The sky was just zigzagged with them. They even went for the artistic impression, so one took a sudden turn, to make things more interesting.

Drove to airport to pick Nina after her trip home. Lots of waiting for the luggage, because the airport is seriously understaffed. They just aren't paying enough, there would be people who'd work late in the evening. Somehow the profit must be made, but it's OK to skim on salaries. Bastards.

I see she has her Sebaggio shoes, that she bought the first year. They both look nice on her, and fit her snugly, says she never had a more comfortable pair. [correction: she bought them back home, in the Obuća Beograd shop, which was next in the same space where Proleter was, where we sat outside so many times]

We indulged in the american custom of sitting on the floor of airport and other waiting rooms. Because why not, it's cleaned regularly, one of them motorized suckers passes every now and then, and there isn't much dust outside, save for the wear of the tires and tree particles. Slighly unimaginable back home, our soil raises dust.

Had to wait a while to get her home. Trip takes 10 hours or so, then two hours to wait for the bags and 30 minutes drive home. Despite all, she was fine, talkative, and not too disappointed with what she saw at home. Her friends or their parents seem to be out of job, mostly, and don't have much hope either. They all complain.
