Twenty four hours of hardware trouble and everyone jerked up (on the job) is over. Finally found the two tricks to make my new cheapo ATI Radeon EHD 5450 (branded ASUS for some reason) work with my W2003R2 64-bit: find the appropriate directory with the driver (one of at least a dozen, which the ATI installer never managed to find, as it's for XP 64-bit) and all of a sudden the overlap of the IO range didn't matter anymore. The other trick was to turn hardware acceleration to the max, so the control center would run (found that on about 50th forum googled). Even turned the directX on.
For a while I had the right monitor horizontal. Looked weird, it's been vertical for the last three years at least. And it hid the right speaker - which inexplicably made the sound much better.
10:25:24 Geoff: I need to make the time for the difference between the dog and fox...
12:29:19 me: for one, nobody ever wrote a programming language named VisualDogPro
With Suez, something about a Hummersex being connected via the london (his) server, I should just jump in and... I guess it was an example of FB 2479 (yup, that's the bug counter).
Carried no shooter to the garden, so no shots from there. Zeki lowered the debt to below 800l of milk.
He recounted how a few years ago that guy who sells the ostrich farm starter kit tried to sell him one, ideas included. Had everything - fodder, equipment, chicken, just invest and get going. Zeki said „I interrupted him five times with the question of who do I sell that to, and he kept evading it, saying sale is not a problem, until I pressed him and then he started fumbling and mumbling... aha, so it's you selling the kit and whichever suckers bite, they bit, eh? I mean I know there's no market, did you ever see ostrich meat on a plate? Sold nowhere either, nobody knows what it is, so nobody buys. He's the only one making money on it“.
Only one shot today, by Dom, I guess after the meeting of DC-99 - I see Joška and Miško on it.
