Okay, this is an app I neither installed nor wrote, it's what it says: a blog (which I prefer to spell blogue, rhymes with dogue).
It began some time in 2006, when I noticed someone else's blog. She was an American married to a Serb, and recently moved to Belgrade. So, it was rather interesting to see what I so far observed second hand, when I had Greg or Ford at home, this time written in first person.
Then I realized I was that first person here, and that it may be interesting to Americans to read it. So I began writing it, on Blogger. No bells or whistles, just plain html with occasional picture. Went so for a few years, and then the Gugao bought Blogger, and very soon started changing the rules. We parted ways very fast, and the last article I wrote there was in january of 2012. Soon after I just deleted the whole blogue, perhaps making a few readers a bit sad, but such is the nature of the interwebs - now you are, now you aren't.
The personal investment wasn't in vain, it's just that those articles were in a limbo the next fourteen years. I did make a backup, but despite my claims of manly order (my desk is cluttered, my desktop and disk are neat - I've seen girls who do exactly the opposite), I couldn't find it. Eventually in march of 2026 I did, and started reposting most of that here, on the dates when they were originally published.
Amazingly, as I started adding blogged articles here, I noticed that the embedded images often appeared right away... because I have hosted them here, don't know why, probably Blogger didn't want to host them. Funny though, that I completely forgot about them, so they were just sitting there on the server for twelve years and now when I didn't even remember they were there, all of a sudden they fit right where I needed them.
