Don't know when Nina actually graduated, but today she had the promotion, the genuine article, undiluted and fat free, not some advertising fake event. She finished it in seven semesters, with a double major (not captain), IT technology and psychology.
This is about everybody, from the whole university, whoever graduated in last twelve months. Luckily, the organizator* was of sufficiently sane mind to publicly hand the diploma to just the best student of each school, or else it would have lasted the summer day til noon. Well it lasted this way as well, the rector had to say something, then the governor or the mayor as well, whoever, and then some of the students. They didn't sing Gaudeamus, but I think the anthem was detonated.
Of course, all of them uniformed into those togas and square caps for round heads, which was probably to symbolically represent shoving them into the mold. Well, they may just hope that it worked.
The rest of the month I kept reading everything else I had from Frank Herbert, apart from Dune. Because the network found what even the library didn't have. It was an interesting study in how he used various of his novels to try out some of the tricks, or should I say motifs or themes, which will come back in full swing in Dune, but then that kind of material makes for barely a quarter of it - the rest he made from scratch.

* can't say 'organizer', as they didn't look like a box with tiny slots for things
