He served on ships, so he was away most of the time.
I didn't have much contact with him, just around the wedding, when I discovered that he's a trekkie, and loves to fix things, to have tools and parts around the house. Saw him before, while we were there, he'd sometimes bring Eleese on her weekends, but he didn't want to come in.
