Packed in the evening, were ready to go at four. Go and Neša are going home.
At the same time, Lena and Zlija were making a musaka. Which took some time to prepare, so they opened a bottle of champagne to celebrate the success, which in the end was justified.
Arrived at Surčin at 6. Then wait. Then wait at the window, ask for info. Then come back in half an hour, while we check. Then wait more until we reschedule you. Because their plane from Frankfurt malfunctioned, didn't come at all, so they found them a different flight, over London, which will get them home by 16:05, which is 1:05 tomorrow here. That'll be almost 24 hours en route, if local ride on the other side is included.
They took off around noon. Neša had fun roaming the halls, rolling on the floor, inspecting everything he saw, climbing the stairs, was no problem at all. And we're also seasoned time passers, so we managed not to get too pissed off for waiting. And the ride back somehow also worked out, despite my having slept just 2-3 hours and being on foot for eight.
Lena, as the CEO of her company, needs to issue a statement of employment to herself as a worker. The law says she can't, as a director, give herself, as a worker, any salary unless such a paper exists. There's no fault in solipsism. Just remembered the story from 03-IV-1995..
The next day we talked more about her firm. She's learning, literally from scratch, how to calculate tax, what's profit (in serbian) of the firm, what's tax deductible expense etc etc. It will be for the best that she pays herself a minimal salary, plus diurns - because the „customer“ (i.e. Prodise) is in Belgrade, and her firm is in Zrenjanin, so travel on everydaily basis.
Then I went downtown to her accountant, to sign whatever needed, didn't sign so many times since my enlightment* period.
Yesterday, she sat with Zlija, and they just wanted to watch some series, and they discovered no web. What, what? He called SBB and they said they switched him off for not paying three months in a row. Okay, turn me off for five minutes so I can pay. Can not do until morning. Then he remembered he had web on the phone, and paid so, called again to turn him on, now that he paid. No can do, the finance guys have to sign off and they're gone for the day, see you in the morning. He went on about close relations with their respective mothers, both sides now, and then, depressed, sat to wait for the morning. Then out of habit checked mail and voila, had network.
They are off to Budapest tomorrow. She asked for useful sentences in hungarian - entrance/exit, „got meat“, „what draft beer you have“, „how much cost“. C'mon, you're foreigners, nobody expects you to speak budapestian. If you run into someone elderly, he may confess to speak russian. And, besides, where weefee is on, you can just take a shot of what you need to read, and send here for translation. :)
On twonysecond we went to the market place and bought ten saplings of cherry, then planted them along the pavement in Klincaid. Not so close to it, they're a whole meter away, and even if that pavement ever gets widened, I won't feel sorry for the trees. Highly unlikely to ever happen, though. The streets ends some 500m away, by the cemetery, where the fields begin.
Later it will turn out that one of the saplings is not really a cherry, but rather a cherry, different from the regular cherry by bearing plenty of small fruits, very little pulp but lots of sugar. Only in 2022. it bore proper fruit, when it was already twice as tall as the cherries. After picking what we could of it, we realized we shouldn't pick it at all. On a certain day, it only takes spreading a tarp around it and waiting for all the fruit to fall, all in one day.

At work, lots of fun with LI. Since 16th I'm working on a standalone version, which would run on server only, not on each workstation, and just check periodically for any edits in the database since the last successful run. On error, quit and try to do again on next interval, this is exactly why we do them in chronological order. If last run time unknown, assume seven days. Each day start new log.
