Used to be a local legend. One of the local poets, who would sit alone and write, in relative obscurity. For years he abstained from washing himself. Haven't seen him much since we made that movie in 1978, and then when we returned from the US, saw him several times. Does some job in the city's theatre and generally hangs out around the theatre. Married that girl whom I briefly met when I was 15. Their son studies to be a priest, and they seem like generally benign... religious people, but not agressive. The Orthodox way, it seems, mild.
