Go came home today. This is when we first met, at the steps of the maternity ward. When she saw the sky, she sneezed, like we both did when we were kids.

Everything was ready - the room, the bed, the bottles, the diapers (cotton, bought in Romania).

I was concerned about two things: one, when will I get the courage to hold her in my arms, being afraid that she may move so that I may drop her (and other horror scenarios). Two, the radio was on for years, never being turned off, only silenced to maybe one notch overnight. When the baby sleeps...

She solved both issues by simply putting the baby in my arms and turning the radio on as soon as we entered the room, ahead of both grandmothers.

For years I couldn't imagine myself as a father. Even less, that a baby can be so beautiful.

The tapestry on the wall was made by Oma, after a design I drew, or rather calculated. A series of four hyperboles and an ellipse. Used the Hugin calculator to get the values, and it took me a whole afternoon to get it right. The tube was pracically stolen from the sleeve of "Tubular bells". Oma being who she is, couldn't just take her time... she had to do it in a rush. "Yesterday I was working on this from six to nine - how many hours is that?" "Three. Oh. You mean fifteen."
