On the trip to Klincaid, saw the queue in front of Mrkšić's butchery. Spaced out a meter or more. Perhaps one or two people on bicycles wearing masks, the others just enjoying a nice day. The street from Springfield to oilery is now fully repaved in full width. In 2014 it was also fully repaved, as the newspapers said, but actually it was only the first block - the other three were still the narrow, one-lane job from 1996. Now, finally.
Saw a police car for a few blocks in my mirror (but didn't want to cut my hair...), lost them at the next light. Strange, this route rarely has them.
The T2.
Took the new trimmer, the T2 (since the old one is švorceniger). Put its chainsaw tool on, and went cutting the two big fallen apricot branches, then the big elderberry bush, which I had once cut already. The trunks near the root are now about 12cm in diameter... Also cut a few of the acacias, where I was able to guess where they'll fall.

The apricots are in full blossom, the bees are abuzz. May be a good year again. She went on pulling out the dry weed roots out of the rows where we will put the new silage cover. They're easy to pull out, as the old foil is mostly still holding, so the soil under it is still moist, soft and grainy. The plan is to let some of the new weeds grow, just to have some green mass, then chop them and cover with new foil. That would soften the downed stalks and help press the foil in place, so the wind doesn't fly it away.
The garage door fell off - the smaller wing this time. I'm not putting it back, the hinge loop is so flimsy, it's nailed to some thin slat which then holds to almost nothing. Pieces of the roof have caved in or flown away, and I'm not putting them back. If we catch some extra time, we'll tear it down, we never had any use for it.
On the way back saw another police car, under flashing lights, but it was escorting two identical trucks, who knows what they were carrying.
In the evenings, Nina and I are watching second season of "Altered carbon". The story is intriguing, the sets are well designed (a bit more austere this season, first season was sheer baroque) and they don't go overboard with fight and torture scenes. And the nth episode cliffhanger isn't resolved within the first two minutes of n plus 1th episode.
