There was one more call in the morning, Jan called... of course, after being asked to. What the fuck is this, once Jevgenij gets a case, it becomes all-important?

Today I intentionally eased it off by going out to buy some cables (youesbee micro, two long ones for gaming and to charge devices in the van; two short ones - one for my pc and one for Raja). Bought a closing headset, so I wouldn't hear much of the outside noise, though it's a bit tight for my big head. But did it as a last minute shopping, 'cause Nena said they're closing. Toza has already quit, she's staying to end of month.

Dunno whether I came to the idea or was it something Nick mentioned, he's trying to suck up to the customer, and brag of how he can bring the solution fast, basically taking the kudos and leaving the grunt work to me. Well, fuck that, my plan is to have this finished by end of day thursday, and you won't spoil that in either direction.

Jevgenij, 13.54 Hi, what's your verdict on the patient import issue

Me 15.52 Hang'em.
Working on it... I have an alternate solution, basically chopping it into separate xml and document files and then zipping them together into one transport file.
That solution is 90% still only in my head.

Jevgenij, 16.20 sounds amusing
how long it will take you to implement it?

Me 16.43 optimistically, thursday.

Jevgenij, 16.46 amazing. do you have the right test data to test it on large volumes?

Then we talked for about one minute (no recording), his connection dropped. Then I called again and we talked for about ten minutes. He kept trying to see whether adding more memory would resolve the issue, and it took me some time to explain that it would make matters worse in other areas, as Fox wasn’t made capable of handling multiple gigabytes. The memory management setting in the config is usually used only to reduce the memory and gain speed. Then he suddenly interrupted the call as if being dragged away by someone. I guess that was Briyesh, because he called later, at 17:25. It was short, below four minutes, and started with his “this escallated too high and too fast”. He sounded almost like appologizing for the unruly behavior of subordinates, going out of protocol.

Das called at 17:45 and I guessed well that it was about this case and that he was prompted by Jevgenij to do so. But we went technical real soon and agreed on what to do. Eight minutes.

At that time I did have the export part of the mechanism solved, to the point when it would get zipped.
