Yesterday got this keyboard, another no-name thingy, don't remember where, but it's the best so far - the caps are actually hats, i.e. the hole under the key is fully covered, so the chances of anything falling into the mechanism are quite slim. So far (april 2023 when I added this photo) it's the longest serving one, except perhaps the one from Acrotech. Screw Logitech, screw Genius, this is the best (knock on wood, may it last).

Today was the day when Briyesh (or was it Ralph) announced that ClockWorker is going live, so forget your monthly sheets and start entering your hours into this app.

And already three days later Das complained that “I lost one day of the week of entry, I can do it again, but last I had clicked on the save button and I had a call to attend if there was a message it never stayed back for me!  Is it possible that the save failed message remains and just does not revert everything.  Would this be because I had the same client selected twice in row separate rows?”

First the app wouldn't run at all for me. I thought it may be relying on something windowsy (and I'm running Ubuntu since august 2016), but no, it was about the Gugao - it used syndication and tag services. I really wonder why, and I asked the guy in charge of communicating with us, and it turned he's not allowed to touch anything on the page, and he didn't even know there was any google involved in it.

Then I went searching. It turns out it uses it for some graphics or menu handling or whatever. But I found the website of the ClockWorker publisher, and it turns out the site is just as lousy as the app. The cost of the app is just 47$, and all the names seem to be in India or from it, though the HQ is allegedly somewhere in the US.

Checked up again as I was translating this, and couldn't get any independent review, even StartPage brings in only advertising-like praise, containing more ad copy than actual look at it. And it now costs 375$ per seat per year.
