kvašenice

(Translation, Yugoslavia)

Can be roughly translated as french toast, except it isn't. It's not french, and it's not toast, needs no batter mix. It's pohovano bread. Just shake an egg, dip the bread in it and fry it in oil or, preferrably, lard. Add some salt on top. That's all.

And mind you, not what you call bread, even though that kind of works, but real bread. It melts in your mouth.
